Stella Osorojos Eisenstein, L.Ac.


Stella Osorojos published a memoir in 2012 called Star Sister: How I Changed My Name, Grew Wings, and Learned to Trust Intution (North Atlantic Books/Evolver Editions). It chronicles changing her name from Laura Chamorro in an experiment that unexpectedly led to a spiritual awakening. Prior to that, she was an editor and freelance writer for publications like Spirituality & Health, Reality Sandwich, Condé Nast Traveler, InStyle, Budget Living, Lucky, Travel & Leisure, Sacred Hoop and more.

She holds accreditations with the North Carolina Acupuncture Board, the California Acupuncture Board, the Pennsylvania Board of Medical Examiners, and the National Certifying Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Additionally, she has been trained in Esoteric Acupuncture, Ortho-Bionomy, Integrative Manual Therapy, and Depth Hypnosis.

She also taught creative writing to teens for over fifteen years, with Connecticut’s Young People’s Institute. At the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts (NMAHA), she served as a Physiology/Pathophysiology instructor. She co-founded the Santa Fe Time Bank.

Of Colombian and Virginian heritage, Stella grew up in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and maintains a private practice there. She is married to Charles Eisenstein, with whom she has a son.
